- In Photoshop, clip both, mask out the mannequin, composite the inner collar into the neck opening, rebuild the shape where the mannequin was, then clean the edges

Use it for the main listing image where marketplaces require a clean product shot, for shirts and structured pieces where shape is the selling point, and for catalogs where visual consistency across hundreds of SKUs matters.
Do not rely on it alone for fashion where fit and drape sell the piece. Ghost mannequin shows shape but not how a garment falls on a body, and on-model imagery consistently outperforms it for click-through in apparel. The usual answer is both: on-model as the hero, ghost mannequin in the gallery.
